Render HTML design prototypes directly in DeepSeek Harness with a canvas tab for visual review, annotation, and sandboxed previews.
dsh-plugin-canvas is a handy add‑on for the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) application. It gives you a special "Canvas Preview" tab where you can view HTML design mockups directly inside DSH. It also includes a canvas_preview model tool that helps you blur out private information and safely show web pages in a protected sandbox. The interface uses clean, simple native UI elements — no complicated setups.
In plain words: if you work with HTML prototypes or need to preview designs without exposing sensitive data, this plugin makes it easy and safe.
Follow these simple steps. You don't need any technical knowledge.
dsh-plugin-canvas.zip or similar).C:\dsh-plugin-canvas.dsh-plugin-canvas.exe (or start.bat if you see it). That's it — the plugin will launch and be ready to use inside DSH.Note: If you get a smart‑screen warning, click "More info" then "Run anyway". This is normal for new unsigned apps.
After launching, the plugin should automatically appear as a new tab in DSH. If you don't see it, go to DSH's Plugins menu and enable dsh-plugin-canvas.
Once active, you'll see a toolbar with two main actions:
For the sandbox rendering, the plugin automatically routes all iframe content through a secure sandbox. You don't need to do anything special — just enjoy the extra safety.
This plugin is designed for Windows 10 or 11 (64‑bit). You also need DeepSeek Harness already installed on your computer. If you don't have DSH, you can get it from the official DeepSeek website.
Disk space: less than 50 MB required. RAM: no extra requirements beyond what DSH needs.
Q: The plugin won't start – I get a missing DLL error.
A: Make sure you extracted the ZIP completely. Do not run it directly from the ZIP file. Also, try right‑clicking the EXE and selecting "Run as administrator".
Q: I don't see the Canvas tab in DSH.
A: Go to DSH's Plugins menu and select Manage Plugins. Find dsh-plugin-canvas in the list and ensure it's enabled. Then restart DSH.
Q: Can I use this on macOS or Linux?
A: Not yet. This version is Windows‑only. But the code is open source, so you could compile it for other systems if you're a developer.
Q: The blur mask doesn't stay after I close and reopen the preview.
A: That's expected for now – blur masks are session‑based. We're working on saving them to project files in a future update.
If you're familiar with coding, the plugin is built on the DSH plugin API. It registers a new tab and a custom model tool named canvas_preview. You can fork the repo and modify the UI to your liking. The code is clean and well‑commented.
Visit the same download link every few weeks. Download the newest ZIP, extract it over the old folder (overwrite all files), and restart DSH. Your settings will be preserved.
Now you're all set. Download the plugin, extract it, and start previewing your HTML designs with privacy protection. If you find the plugin useful, consider giving the repository a star ⭐ to show your support.
Enjoy safe and easy prototyping with dsh-plugin-canvas!
